ATTENTION
Here's where we meet, to talk, eat and network!!

Where is this place
you find yourself asking?

Well, we meet at Willie Bird's Restaurant at 1150 South Santa Rosa Ave. We meet on Tuesday mornings at 7:30 am until 8:30 am.

Parking is easy as there are parking spaces on both sides and the back of the restaurant.

We will have access to a closed meeting room, where we will actually be able to hear each other talk.

We're Still Looking for Some New Members
To borrow a phrase, we're looking for a few good men and women of the same ilk to join us for breakfast on Tuesday mornings. The purpose is to network, share views and enjoy the meeting of new people from all business persuasions.

To entice you into joining us, we've come up with some nifty benefits. We intend to provide a Preferred Services Provider Directory, increased web exposure of your business or profession through our web site and member directory, an informative newsletter, featured member of the month and of course, the opportunity for social networking. Pretty good deal, eh?

It's inexpensive...only $120.00 a year, or two payments of $60 each, bi-annually, plus the $20.00 initiation fee (we do understand that times are tough). The benefits have been mentioned before, but you'll have to join to make full use of them.

We'll look forward to seeing you on Tuesday morning at 7:30am, at Willie Bird's on Santa Rosa Ave.

Cheers!

Musings from the Chief

What a good meeting we had today, August 3rd! It makes all the difference in the world getting some new visitors, especially when they fit in like the recent ones have. While today’s meeting was still fresh in my mind (because a mind is a terrible thing to waste) I thought I’d write a short summation for comic (hopefully) relief.

What an energetic bunch we had at today’s breakfast club! I don’t know about you, but I thought the “biscuits and gravy” was to die for and I’ll let you know if I’m still with the living at the end of today.

I’d like to officially welcome new member…Kelly Swanson. Kelly, it’s great having you in the group. We missed regular members Bill, Melinda, Gabe and Pat and kept personal digs, at their expense, to a minimum.

We had the pleasure of welcoming return guest Casey Logwood (AFLAC) and new guest Scott Pustay (software consultant) to today’s meeting. Each had plenty to offer on the personal and business chit chat front. Casey told an interesting story about the California earthquake, to which David responded with “was that the 1906 or 1989 quake.

Scott is new to the area and told us about his former days while residing most in Alaska.

Hunter told of a tale about his old “lifeguard days”, to which someone (possibly David again) responded with “which century was that in”.

Peter told us all about his trip to the east coast and how he and the family decided to spend an extra couple of days in Milwaukee on a whim.

Janet invited everyone to her “Rotary Network Gathering” at her home tomorrow from 5 to 7 PM.

Kelly invited us all to dine at the Star Restaurant (Farmers Lane) in Santa Rosa where 20% of all meal cost will go to the Alzheimer’s Association on behalf of Sequoia Senior Solutions.

We briefly discussed possibilities for the next SRBC Social and I suggested we consider having it at my home in Cloverdale sometime in September. At present the menu will consist of Heirloom Tomato’s (John Kold’s favorite) and Beer. Other suggestions are welcomed……..

Well, that about sums it up for today…don’t forget that we’re in the midst of a SRBC New Membership Drive (we’d love to see some of our former member’s too) for all of August…so everyone please do your best to invite some interesting characters for a complimentary breakfast at Willie Bird’s. I recommend the biscuits and gravy…

SRBC Membership Drive...it's Still Going On!
Per our President, John Lewis, August is "New Member" month, and we're having a membership drive. The goal is to bring two new member prospects each week for each member of the SRBC. Check your list of business associates and see if one or more of them is a good fit for the SRBC. Bring them down for a meeting...the Club will pay for their breakfast. Remember, if we don't continually add new members, it will be difficult to provide those leads and referrals we're all looking for.
