ATTENTION
Here's where we meet, to talk, eat and network!!

Where is this place
you find yourself asking?

Well, we meet at Willie Bird's Restaurant at 1150 South Santa Rosa Ave. We meet on Tuesday mornings at 7:30 am until 8:30 am.

Parking is easy as there are parking spaces on both sides and the back of the restaurant.

We will have access to a closed meeting room, where we will actually be able to hear each other talk.

Our Website Host

We're Still Looking for Some New Members
To borrow a phrase, we're looking for a few good men and women of the same ilk to join us for breakfast on Tuesday mornings. The purpose is to network, share views and enjoy the meeting of new people from all business persuasions.

To entice you into joining us, we've come up with some nifty benefits. We intend to provide a Preferred Services Provider Directory, increased web exposure of your business or profession through our web site and member directory, an informative newsletter, featured member of the month and of course, the opportunity for social networking. Pretty good deal, eh?

It's inexpensive...only $120.00 a year, or two payments of $60 each, bi-annually, plus the $20.00 initiation fee (we do understand that times are tough). The benefits have been mentioned before, but you'll have to join to make full use of them.

We'll look forward to seeing you on Tuesday morning at 7:30am, at Willie Bird's on Santa Rosa Ave.

Cheers!

SPECIAL XMAS EDITION
It's Election Time at the SRBC
It's time to consider new officers for the SRBC again. So, begin to think about who you'd like to see as new officers for the next 6 months. We'll have nominations on the 13th of December and elections on the last meeting of the month, December 20th.

There are some clear advantages to running for Club office. You can form club policy, change the Club by-laws, sit at the head table, run the meetings and influence your fellow members (or not). Well, maybe not all of those, but participation in the SRBC provides you with the opportunity to develop your leadership and public speaking skills. It's important to think about supporting the SRBC in this fashion.

The pay is nil, the rewards are intangible and sometimes you may feel the ire of your fellow members, but it's all worth it. So, come to the next meeting and begin to develop your slate of officers and platforms for the coming half year.

We expect to hear some great election speeches or maybe just a few words as to why you're running for office. This is your opportunity to become a leader in our organization. Do it for the SRBC!

SRBC XMAS PRESENT LIST
Here's a list of what our fellow SRBC members are hoping for from Santa:

Rebecca Ross - One of those reclining chairs with the built-in massage unit.

Allison Norman - A real estate deal that goes through in less than a month.

Elizabeth Olsen
- A good book on marketing newspapers.

Larry Gilbert
- A breakfast that doesn't involve oatmeal.

Janet Codding - A Wayback Machine, so she can purchase stock in NuSkin when they first started out.

John A. Lewis - A bigger car to carry himself and his guitar, so they don't have to arrive in two separate vehicles.

David Wasley - Just wants a little pony.

Tony Rennia - Time to ride his motorcycle with his SRBC buds.

Pat Mitchell - One of those old-time black and white spiral wheels for her hypnosis business.

Gabe Dunton - A complete replica of a Sharks goalie outfit, so his wife can shoot pucks at him.

Bill HIllendahl - A portable ham radio that is solar powered and clips to his belt.

Melinda Hughes-Berland - A house in the country. We don't know which one, however.

Daniela Pavone - A client that pays in advance and a list of guest speakers for the SRBC.

Steve Gustafson - A copy of the DVD Movie, Starship Troopers. Let's see you figure out what poison to use on those bugs.

Ed Berland - Gets a lump of coal, for being bad all year. He's ok with it....'cause he'll heat the house for a couple of minutes with it. His wife will be very happy.

Phylllis Sutter - A solar array in her back yard, so her husband can say he built something else for her.

Kelly Swanson - A CAT for her husband, Paul...so he doesn't have to move big rocks.

SRBC Members in the News
<empty>Rebecca Ross says it's a geat time for gift certificates. Save $60 - Buy 2 gift certificates and get the third for $5.00! On a personal note, she indicates that finals are coming up at Sonoma State University and her physics books will be getting much use in the next couple of weeks.

Allison Norman is looking for any un-needed coats. Is she starting a second-hand store? Actually they are for a very worthy cause which you can see by clicking here. She needs them by December 13th. Bring them to the next Club meeting or the Winter Business Social...just don't get them confused with what you're wearing.

Elizabeth Olsen
says "Thank you for supporting The Sonoma County Gazette by advertising and educating our readers about your services, fine quality and unique products."

Larry Gilbert
didn't submit anything this week. At least he shows up and eats his oatmeal on a regular basis. Good on you for your attention to your health.

Janet Codding has more info on NuSkin: How many Direct Selling Companies actually reach 1 Billion Dollars in annual sales? 1 in 5,400!! "The whole mission and purpose that brings us together (at NuSkin) is somewhat unique, in that the way we succeed is by helping others succeed. So, bringing our goals in line with the goals of those who work with us is fundamental to success in what we’re doing." – Dan Chard, President of Global Sales and Operations

John A. Lewis was missing in action last week. We wonder if he got his foot caught in his car again. John, you need a bigger vehicle.

David Wasley just moved to Healdsburg and says a housewarming party is forthcoming. We'll bring plants, lots of plants, Dave...'cause we know you have a very green thumb.

Tony Rennia missed last week's meeting, as well. We know he's working...and babysitting. Don't squash that child, Tony.

Pat Mitchell and Melinda Hughes-Berland recently went horseback riding at the Chansler Ranch in Bodega Bay. They had good horses and great views of the ocean and bay. Then they went to dinner at the Tides restaurant. Pat mentions this because the following day their low back pain was gone. Ride a horse = no back pain...who knew?

Gabe Dunton is waiting for basketball season to begin. He's sports deprived.

Bill HIllendahl missed a motorcycle ride with some of his old friends due to familial duties. Bill, your biker buds are more important than your family. Your family will judge you. Your biker buds already have, so it's out of the way.

Melinda Hughes-Berland says the Professional Photographers of America called. They need her to be in New Orleans January 15-18 for their Awards banquet, as she is among the top 10 illustrative photographers in the United States. Hmm, is there an award in your future, Melinda?

Steve Gustafson made a recent presentation to the SRBC. His topic was ants. No one said they had ants in their pants. Dave Wasley was again freaked out by Steve's presentation. We think it was the picture of the potato bug that did it.

Ed Berland missed Thanksgiving Dinner. He was there, but he didn't eat. It's ok though, he said the leftovers the following day were delicious. No, his wife didn't poison him...but, it might have been something he ate earlier...no before dinner snacks for you, Ed!

Daniela Pavone is on a rampage. First she's a guest speaker on fellow SRBC member, Allison Norman's radio show, then she misses a meeting because she has to file papers at the court house. We suspect she didn't want to hear more about bugs from Steve.

Phylllis Sutter missed the last meeting, as well. Working with all those "old folks" must be taking up a great deal of her time.

Kelly Swanson says that now that the leaves have fallen, to call her to have your trees shaped and work on the structure of your garden. Gift Certificates are available. On a personal note, her boys will be home for winter break. If you're hungry or want to play a game of 3D beer pong, stop by the Swansons.

GUEST SPEAKER SCHEDULE
