Where is this place
you find yourself asking?

Well, we meet at Willie Bird's Restaurant at 1150 South Santa Rosa Ave. We meet on Tuesday mornings at 7:30 am until 8:30 am.

Parking is easy as there are parking spaces on both sides and the back of the restaurant.

We will have access to a closed meeting room, where we will actually be able to hear each other talk.

We're Still Looking for Some New Members
To borrow a phrase, we're looking for a few good men and women of the same ilk to join us for breakfast on Tuesday mornings. The purpose is to network, share views and enjoy the meeting of new people from all business persuasions.

To entice you into joining us, we've come up with some nifty benefits. We intend to provide a Preferred Services Provider Directory, increased web exposure of your business or profession through our web site and member directory, an informative newsletter, featured member of the month and of course, the opportunity for social networking. Pretty good deal, eh?

It's inexpensive...only $120.00 a year, or two payments of $60 each, bi-annually, plus the $20.00 initiation fee (we do understand that times are tough). The benefits have been mentioned before, but you'll have to join to make full use of them.

We'll look forward to seeing you on Tuesday morning at 7:30am, at Willie Bird's on Santa Rosa Ave.

Cheers!

IT'S A NEW YEAR!

Hello, breakfastclubbers!

I hope you all had a great holiday season. It's a new year!

I have some pretty big shoes to fill as President, and I welcome any suggestions you may have.

To start off the new year, and help everyone develop some business relations, I suggest that members arrange some time in the next few months to go out to lunch or take an hour to have a coffee meeting with every other member. It's the best way to get to know one another, so you can promote our members' businesses to your own clients and friends.

The new officers are as follows, so you can direct any questions you have to them:

President: David Wasley, david.wasley@lfg.com

Vice President: Janet Codding, janet@scanitjanet.com

Secretary: Kelly Swanson, kelly.swanson@sequoiaseniorsolutions.com

Treasurer: Gabe Dunton, gabe@northbayfarmers.com

Webmaster: Ed Berland, info@BerlandDesign.com.

Let's have a great year! Let me know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

David Wasley
President

Michelle Martin wants the SRBC to know about Forgotten Felines Fundraising in Sonoma County. She also would like all our women members to check out the National Association of Professional Women. And, she suggests that the SRBC have a competition for top guests, new members and most referrals, with a reward of a special spotlight on that member in the SRBC newsletter.

John Lewis wants to know if you have questions in regard to the new Health Care Reform and how it will affect your family? He's ready with answers to all your questions. He's also looking for referrals, specifically someone turning age 65 in 2011.

Melinda Hughes-Berland is busy being a Mom again, as she and her husband are hosting a foster teen whose parents are unable to care for her.

OBITUARY

HUNTER FINCH
1939 - 2010

It is with great sadness that the SRBC has learned that fellow member, Hunter Finch passed away two weeks ago from complications following a surgery.

With a BA from Ripon College and the Navy behind him, Hunter launched his career in New York as an intern running copy in Business Editorial at Time Magazine, then as a copywriter creating direct mail campaigns in Circulation Promotion at Newsweek.

Moving into account management with McCann-Marchalk, FSR and Dentsu America he began writing corporate identity and branding strategies for Fortune 100 accounts. Subsequently, at Richards, Petkoff, Finch & Associates, Kelly-Nason/Univas, Worco Marketing, and Young & Rubicam he added public relations, sales promotion, and direct response to the mix. He was among the first to integrate these conflicting protocols and cultures into master campaign strategies across a range of traditional as well as online media.

Before co-founding SonomaLight with Ed Berland and Scott Evans, Hunter was VP, Strategic Services at ConnectedBrands with primary responsibilities for developing and keeping new business. He led an initiative that took the company from $ 40 to $ 240 million in six years transforming what Advertising Age ranked "the fastest growing direct agency in the USA" in 1997, into what became the dominant full-service high-tech agency headquartered in Silicon Valley by 2001.

Hunter has initiated brand audits, written marketing plans, and managed campaigns for hundreds of new product launches and repositionings. His hands-on planning, buying, creative and production experience spans most nuances of traditional and online media. He has sold, bought or traded space or time in just about every format, including special events and advertiser syndicated programming. He spearheaded development and production of The American Promise, a 3-hour PBS TV mini-series sponsored by Farmers Insurance. Through it all, he's managed some of the best creative teams, account groups, and accounts in the marketing communications business.

Hunter, you'll be missed...not only by your fellow creatives in the advertising field, but here at the SRBC.

Godspeed.

Cards of condolence may be sent to:
