SRBC WELCOMES IN NEW YEAR WITH NEW OFFICERS

Yes, it was an exciting race for a position on the Santa Rosa Breakfast Club’s Board at the bi-annual elections held recently.

We are very pleased to announce the results were as follows: President: Ed Berland, Vice President: Janet Codding, Secretary: Christie Cooley, Treasurer: Gabe Dunton and lastly, Webmaster: Ed Berland. Your newly installed officers are pictured below

We want to thank the officers who are retiring from duty, and offer them a big round of virtual applause! And to the newly elected members….Thank you and may the force be with you!

Ed Berland,
President
Janet Codding,
Vice-President
Christie Cooley,
Secretary
Gabe Dunton,
Treasurer

We are looking forward to another 6 months of astounding growth, and a great calendar of events.

Also, a special note of thanks to Jim Headley, immediate past president. The SRBC almost doubled its membership during his administration. With a low-key approach, Jim was responsible for signifcant advancements in the Club's goals. Our hat's off to you!

And, lastly...Happy 2010 to you all!

HOLIDAY SOCIAL A RESOUNDING SUCCESS

The SRBC's holiday social was held December 18th, at the home of Ed & Melinda Berland, who provided a festive gathering place, festooned with feline ornaments. This was our latest effort in getting to know one another outside of the business environment and an opportunity for Club members to bring their spouses/significant others to meet in a social setting.

Our immediate past Vice President Debbie Wallace, did a smashing job of providing the outstanding hors d'oeuvres and other delicacies for our palates' enjoyment with funds from the Club treasury. The Club also provided beverages for the members, as well.

Conversations were lively and by head count a majority of the members and their better halves were in attendance.

Some images can be seen below.

EXTRA: SRBC ENGAGEMENT NEWS

We have news...SRBC members Christie Cooley and James Randolph have become engaged. You heard it here first, folks! This is the second time in SRBC history that two Club members have become engaged. The last time was in the "Old SRBC"...many, many years ago. Our best wishes for the happy couple. They look pretty happy in this photo, too....don't they?

Hey, don't we have a wedding photographer in the Club, as well? Will someone please give her a lead...

RANDOM TIDBITS...AND YOU THOUGHT WE RAN OUT OF STUFF TO PRINT...

Jim Headley recently took some time off to go skiing. Turns out our ex-prez is quite the athlete....he came back with no broken bones. That's clean living for you!

Deepinder Seekon has been AWOL lately. Rumor has it he's been plotting a coup against the current administration. Club president Ed Berland's response was, "he can have this job after he prys my cold, dead hands off my coffee cup".

Bill Hillendahl likes to play with radios in his spare time. The other night he was atmosphere bouncing the transmission signal and wound up talking to himself. That's scary!

Want to Be a Featured Member of the SRBC?

Now's the time to think about becoming a featured member of the SRBC. How do you do that? Easy! Take a look at the Featured Members page, then write something about yourself. Have someone take a picture of you. Then, submit what you've got to the Club secretary. She'll make sure the webmaster puts it up on the web site. Don't worry about length, or writing style as we can edit for you, if necessary. We'll also create a link to your business or service website...free advertising for you.

It's just that simple!

We're Still Looking for Some New Members

To borrow a phrase, we're looking for a few good men and women of the same ilk to join us for breakfast on Tuesday mornings. The purpose is to network, share views and enjoy the meeting of new people from all business persuasions.

To entice you into joining us, we've come up with some nifty benefits. We intend to provide a Preferred Services Provider Directory, increased web exposure of your business or profession through our web site and member directory, an informative newsletter, featured member of the month and of course, the opportunity for social networking. Pretty good deal, eh?

So, now's the time to "volunteer"....and begin your membership in the Santa Rosa Breakfast Club!

It's inexpensive...only $120.00 a year, or two payments of $60 each, bi-annually, plus the $20.00 initiation fee (we do understand that times are tough). The benefits have been mentioned before, but you'll have to join to make full use of them.

We'll look forward to seeing you on Tuesday morning at 7:30am, at Willie Bird's on Santa Rosa Ave.

Cheers!
