ATTENTION
Here's where we meet, to talk, eat and network!!

Where is this place
you find yourself asking?

Well, we meet at Willie Bird's Restaurant at 1150 South Santa Rosa Ave. We meet on Tuesday mornings at 7:30 am until 8:30 am.

Parking is easy as there are parking spaces on both sides and the back of the restaurant.

We will have access to a closed meeting room, where we will actually be able to hear each other talk.

INTELLIGENCE FOR THE COGNOSCENTI...OR SRBC MEMBER NEWS

David Wasley is growing his practice. He's very busy with appointments and doing a lot of driving. He's also finally getting to the end of Grand Theft Auto IV after two years....(the editor is surprised that he has time to schedule appointments if he's been playing video games for two solid years...each to their own hobby, we suppose). He's also practicing his bar skills (are you a closet attorney?) on the weekends. David also recently played piano publicly at Vinetastings. Perhaps, we can get him to play for us at our next business social. Lastly, he wishes the SRBC meeting started at 9:30am....(David, did you know the SRBC supplies a free wake-up call service?)

Pat Mitchell reports that the mud is drying up and it is time to begin riding her mare. The pony is happy when she rides and gallops around her in his excitement. Her mare is ready to run, but she'll just keep up walking her til she gets her "sea legs." Pat, we thought you were riding a horse, not sailing a sloop.

Melinda Hughes-Berland will be showing her equine imagery from HorsesRArt at an art show, "Day on the Green at Montgomery Village Court" in the Montgomery Village Shopping Center, on April 17th. Come down and support a starving artist...(OK, she's not really starving...).

Peter Karp
recently attended the Non-Profit Conference on March 26th. There were great speakers, and an incredibly supportive cooperative community. He went on behalf of the Community Support Network, and agency for the homeless and mentally ill. Keep up the good works, Peter....we all should do more of the same.

Ed Berland recently attended the Ardenwood Tartan Days in Fremont as a Viking historical re-enactor. He's happy to report that he came back with all body parts intact.

Note from the Editor:

This is your newsletter. That means you can blow your own horn, submit your press releases, talk about your family weekend with the insufferable in-laws or just about anything else you might wish to contribute.

Did I mention contribute?  Oh yes, the newsletter doesn't happen without your contributions, so please....do your part to support the SRBC and the newsletter.

The April Featured Member for the SRBC will be Chosen by Executive Fiat.

Be prepared to either volunteer for the next Featured Member or suffer eternal embarrassment (well, maybe not quite that bad) or minor flushing of the cheeks. The editor has it on good authority that the President of the SRBC will "appoint" the next recipient of this somewhat dubious distinction. If you don't want to be poked fun at (and this IS in good clean fun), you should volunteer....before you get drafted.

We're Still Looking for Some New Members

To borrow a phrase, we're looking for a few good men and women of the same ilk to join us for breakfast on Tuesday mornings. The purpose is to network, share views and enjoy the meeting of new people from all business persuasions.

To entice you into joining us, we've come up with some nifty benefits. We intend to provide a Preferred Services Provider Directory, increased web exposure of your business or profession through our web site and member directory, an informative newsletter, featured member of the month and of course, the opportunity for social networking. Pretty good deal, eh?

So, now's the time to "volunteer"....and begin your membership in the Santa Rosa Breakfast Club!

It's inexpensive...only $120.00 a year, or two payments of $60 each, bi-annually, plus the $20.00 initiation fee (we do understand that times are tough). The benefits have been mentioned before, but you'll have to join to make full use of them.

We'll look forward to seeing you on Tuesday morning at 7:30am, at Willie Bird's on Santa Rosa Ave.

Cheers!
