We're Still Looking for Some New Members
To borrow a phrase, we're looking for a few good men and women of the same ilk to join us for breakfast on Tuesday mornings. The purpose is to network, share views and enjoy the meeting of new people from all business persuasions.

To entice you into joining us, we've come up with some nifty benefits. We intend to provide a Preferred Services Provider Directory, increased web exposure of your business or profession through our web site and member directory, an informative newsletter, featured member of the month and of course, the opportunity for social networking. Pretty good deal, eh?

It's inexpensive...only $120.00 a year, or two payments of $60 each, bi-annually, plus the $20.00 initiation fee (we do understand that times are tough). The benefits have been mentioned before, but you'll have to join to make full use of them.

We'll look forward to seeing you on Tuesday morning at 7:30am, at Willie Bird's on Santa Rosa Ave.

Cheers!

How to Use Effective and Winning Marketing Strategies in Your Business

Using effective and winning marketing strategies have been hailed as the only way to get the product or service to the customer. You have heard the saying that: “The person who has a buyer is king.” Using ineffective marketing strategies is not only wasteful in terms of money but as well as time, effort and energy. To understand why an entrepreneur must develop and continually use winning marketing strategies, he needs to know what “marketing concept” and “selling concept” are. The selling concept holds that consumers and businesses, if left alone, will ordinarily not buy enough of your company’s products and services. Your company must of necessity undertake an aggressive selling, marketing and promotion efforts. Complementary to this is the marketing concept which states that the key to achieving organizational goals consists of the company being more effective than competitors in creating, delivering and communicating customer value to its chosen target markets. A blend of these concepts is superb and magical in delivering your products or services to your target customers. I am not a soothsayer, but if you get your selling and marketing efforts right, you will achieve astronomical results beyond your wildest projections.

The crux of marketing strategy is to give sales personnel prospects to convert into loyal and paying customers. The winning marketing strategies may be obvious but more often than not entrepreneurs hardly identify all these strategies as composite and crucial to their businesses. These I have put in two-phase perspectives.

Phase One

1.Have Quality Product or Service
A superior product or service, by itself, is a winning marketing strategy because everyone wants to get value for his/her money. Simply have a winning product compared to your competitors.

2.Use Words and Phrases that Sell

You may have heard of Wordsmith or Wordsworth as nouns or names. This is actually to convey the important message of using perfect words for appropriate occasions. The quality of a product or service may not be glaring except you use words or phrases that spell out its benefits and features in greater details. Period!

3.Spell Out Overwhelming Benefits of your Product or Service

This should be made to be so irresistible to ignore. We all are concerned with the “WIIFM” bug. Aren’t you?

4.Use Search Engines, Forums, Blogs, Bulletin Boards, Paid Adverts, etc
This method is very effective. Though it may seem ephemeral but the lasting effect could be priceless.

5.Adopt an Opt-In List, Freebies, and Content-rich web sites to attract customers to your product or service. You are in business to sell. And sell you must.

Phase Two

After successfully completing the Phase One strategy, all you need to do is harness your efforts in Phase Two into another five (5) clear marketing strategies.

1.Increase the number of customers. The truth is most businesses are run on fixed overheads which may even increase over time. Unless you step up your sales volume by increasing the number of customers, chances are that you may not be able to break even.

2.Increase the average transaction amount. Most customers may never see the need to buy more except you tell them. For good reasons make the customer to understand why he should buy more to enjoy discount, convenience, save time and transaction costs.

3.Increase the frequency of customer purchase. The surest way to do this is by offering competitive prices, quality products and after-sales services/customer support. Hypnotize the customer with the foregoing qualities so as to make him look foolish going elsewhere.

4.Step up Referral Programs. How much advertisement can a business do? The business being a going concern, it becomes a Herculean task to sustain workable marketing strategies 24/7. This means an entrepreneur must enshrine a referral programs in his business in the form of gift certificates, referral commissions, free products or services or any other common sense referral program. This will make existing customers to spread the “good news” about your company by word of mouth. It is not going to cost you any advertising money any more.

5.Communicating News and Offers to past and present customers. You can do this through your newsletter, via telephones, by emails, and handing out flyers over the counter and so on.

Simply package your business with the above strategies and your sales will hit the roofs in record time.

You Will Excel!

SRBC MEMBER NEWS

Kelly Swanson of Paul K. Swanson Landscaping was last seen sinking into a patch of quicksand at the Sonoma County Fair. Her husband, Paul had decided at the last minute to change the theme of their exhibit to a desert scenario. Someone throw her a rope, please! We need our President.

The Mane EventMelinda Hughes-Berland has a follow up to her recent journey to the B Bryan Preserve...a new image of zebras, composited from the many images she shot of endangered zebras at that location.

Elizabeth Olsen was recently seen at Howarth Park, making the rounds at Spring Lake. Way to stay in shape, Liz!

Larry Gilbert
of PrePaid Legal is looking for individuals who can fog a mirror. He's either developing a new product in the breath mint category or he's trying to find out the message his wife wrote him on the bathroom mirror.

Janet Codding has been identified as the individual who stole the portrait of Dorian Grey. An all points bulletin has been issued for her, but based on eye witness accounts, her police line up photo looks nothing like the real deal...she's much younger looking. Perhaps, this explains why our stalwart officers keep missing her.

John A. Lewis has accepted an invitation from Bono of the band,U2, to tour with them. In addition to John's golden pipes, he bears a striking resemblence to Bono. The question is will Bono use him as a back up singer or as a replacement for himself, as he moves on to other endeavors?

David Wasley just celebrated a birthday. It's our understanding that he did not receive a pony from his parents. Further investigation has revealed he cooked a sumptuous birthday dinner and invited a sweet young guest of the female persuasion. Her name is Annie. Who says Dave can't get a date? See the picture here.

Tony Rennia is contemplating repainting his motorcycle to be more visible. Basic black doesn't cut it these days, so Mr. Rennia will be utilizing the graphics from his helmet for the new motif on his motorcycle. Ask him to show you his hemet.

Pat Mitchell will be attending a 6 day summer seminar on intensive alchemical hypnotherapy in August. The seminar will be held at Mt. Shasta. What we want to know is if Pat is hiking in and doe she have a guide? There are legends of strange goings on up there. Be careful, Pat.

Gabe Dunton is also celebrating a birthday this week. Of course, we all wish him a happy birthday. His wife, Georgia wished him one, as well. She also gave him a couple of birthday presents. Unfortunately, his son managed to grab them before Gabe did. You can see his two presents here.

Bill HIllendahl is travelling to Alaska again. He's a fan of the frozen tundra. Rumor has it that Bill will be excavating his gold mine again. Would some one teach him the difference between iron pyrite and the real deal. Where did you say you bought that claim, again?
