ATTENTION
Here's where we meet, to talk, eat and network!!

Where is this place
you find yourself asking?

Well, we meet at Willie Bird's Restaurant at 1150 South Santa Rosa Ave. We meet on Tuesday mornings at 7:30 am until 8:30 am.

Parking is easy as there are parking spaces on both sides and the back of the restaurant.

We will have access to a closed meeting room, where we will actually be able to hear each other talk.

We are pleased to announce the following individuals, who have graciously donated their time and expertise as officers for the SRBC.

Jim Headley, President

Debbie Wallace, Vice President

Gabe Dunton, Treasurer

James Blair, Secretary

Ed Berland, Webmaster (volunteer position)

NEWS FLASHES

JIm Headley, owner of Quality Shoots tells this reporter that he now has 37 clients, handling from 4 acres to 32 acres of vineyard, and providing quality vineyard management. Jim says that selling grapes will be difficult this year. Supply is up and demand is down. Prices per ton will come down. Does that mean more Two Buck Chuck in our wine cellers, Jim?

Bill Hillendahl has been re-elected as Section Manager for the San Francisco Section of the American Radio Relay League, the national association for amateur radio. Bill has been the Section Manager for the past 5 years and begins his new 2 year term on October first. Bill has been an amateur "HAM" radio operator for 43 years. Rumor has it that he still has the two tin cans and string from his first venture into communications.

Professionally, Bill is a Certified Property Manager and owns Empire Property Services in Santa Rosa.

Deepinder Sekon indicates that he will be out of town from July 16-22, presumably on vacation. He'll need to 'fess up as to his whereabouts at our next meeting.

Ed Berland of Berland Design Group recently completed the video editing and posting of a number of thoroughbred horse videos for Somerville Ranch. No, he doesn't play the ponies.

Congratulations to Featured Member, Melinda Hughes-Berland

Succumbing to pressure from SRBC members (well, maybe one at least), Melinda has seen fit to grace this page with her biographical information, as member of the month for July, 2009.

Melinda is married to fellow SRBC member, Ed Berland and they share parenting (or are slaves) of 4 bengal cats. Melinda has an adult son, David, who is a carpenter.

Her hobbies include tennis, equestrian activities, china painting, reading, photo-painting (see HorsesRArt.com for samples of her work) and the care and feeding of previously mentioned husband.

Melinda is most noted for her skills as a master photographer and she has numerous awards and credentials strewn about her photo studio, indicating her proficiency with her craft.

Her least known fact is that she is ...not telling! You'll just have to ask her to find out.

You can read more about Melinda at her featured member page, here.

If you're interested in the services that Melinda provides, you can contact her at Hughes Photography, 707.575.8301 or through her website, www.Hughes-Photography.com.

Birthdays

Ed Berland celebrated a birthday in July, adding even more gray hairs to his head...and beard.

Want to Be a Featured Member of the SRBC?

Now's the time to think about becoming a featured member of the SRBC. How do you do that? Easy! Take a look at the Featured Members page, then write something about yourself. Have someone take a picture of you. Then, submit what you've got to the Club secretary. He'll make sure the webmaster puts it up on the website. Don't worry about length, or writing style as we can edit for you, if necessary. We'll also create a link to your business or service website...free advertising for you.

It's just that simple!

We're Still Looking for Some New Members

To borrow a phrase, we're looking for a few good men and women of the same ilk to join us for breakfast on Tuesday mornings. The purpose is to network, share views and enjoy the meeting of new people from all business persuasions.

To entice you into joining us, we've come up with some nifty benefits. We intend to provide a Preferred Services Provider Directory, increased web exposure of your business or profession through our website and member directory, an informative newsletter, featured member of the month and of course, the opportunity for social networking. Pretty good deal, eh?

So, now's the time to "volunteer"....and begin your membership in the Santa Rosa Breakfast Club!

It's inexpensive...only $120.00 a year, or two payments of $60 each, bi-annually, plus the $20.00 initiation fee (we do understand that times are tough). The benefits have been mentioned before, but you'll have to join to make full use of them.

We'll look forward to seeing you on Tuesday morning at 7:30am, at Willie Bird's on Santa Rosa Ave.

Cheers!
