John was born and raised in Ohio. His Grandpa Lewis was a coal miner and one of life’s true characters. His Grandpa Eaton was a gardener and loved to build bird houses.

John's Grandma Eaton was a baker and once asked him to hit a home run for her as she attended one of his high school baseball games…and he did it! Grandma Lewis was quite a character too…she loved to go to Reno by bus and play dollar slot machines and she lived to be 99 years old.

John's father is a life long insurance guy…his mentor, his hero and the smartest person he's ever met. His mother has always been there for him…she still cooks his favorite meals every Wednesday when he visits her and and his father for dinner, a glass of wine and a game of cards.

John met his wife Teresa at a fraternity party in 1978 and it was love at first sight. They discovered that they shared a love of music and soon began singing in coffee houses together.

John and Teresa have three children…Jeremy (28), Benjamin (26) and Samantha (22). Each is a talented musician in their own right and as the reader may know… Jeremy and Ben represent the 3rd generation at J.C. Lewis Insurance Services.

Several weeks ago, the entire family visited John's in-laws (Bob & Pat) in Ohio for their surprise 50th wedding anniversary party. Along with the family, Teresa’s brother and sister and about 150 other folks…they had quite a shindig.

At the top of John's list of accomplishments…nearly 30 years of marriage and his three beautiful children would be tied for #1.

John's interests are family, friends, gardening, fishing, singing, good food and good beer.

Following his college days at Ohio Wesleyan University, John must admit being an insurance professional didn’t make his top ten lists for life pursuits.

However, after nearly 30 years in the business, it’s what gets him out of bed in the morning and he can’t imagine doing anything else.
