Michelle Martin

Michelle MartinMichelle Martin calls Sonoma County her home. Though she's lived in the Bay Area, Central Valley, and the suburbs of Sacramento, her favorite places are the towering trees of Muir Woods, the crags of Bodega Bay, and the view of the wild blue heron's wings as it flies over her kayak on the Russian River.

Michelle helps people find solutions to difficult challenges. She is a visionary, and often her family calls her the "compass". When there doesn’t seem to be a way to accomplish a goal, Michelle works diligently at finding the highest and best possible solution. In her professional life, she is highly effective in teaching people how money works, and how they can take charge of their finances to build financial security. She volunteers for the youth ministry at her church, she teaches financial concepts in local schools, and she loves to watch her teenage sons grow up in this beautiful county. Cats make her happy, and she has 3 at home now. They are all rescues that she has adopted.

Michelle loves working with people. She attended Santa Rosa Junior College and San Jose State in pursuit of a double major in Psychology and Behavioral Sciences with a minor in American Indian Studies. The winds of change took her into marriage, and then later into parenthood, but she still remains fascinated by human nature. Her goal and life’s work is to provide exemplary leadership by blending innovation, creativity, and integrity to every project she is a part of. When she isn’t working, she and her family spend time together traveling, kayaking, camping, and playing board games. Her two sons are almost grown men, and she is very proud of them.

Michelle has an adventurous side, too. Recently, she learned to ride a motorcycle, and was offered the chance to accompany a motorcycle club on a trip to Sturgis, South Dakota. On her travels she found a wild jackalope, and was run off the road by a wild buffalo! The good news was she found 8 waterfalls as she traveled through Yellowstone, and even spotted Old Faithful after she found Nemo!

Michelle's adventurous nature is balanced by her work ethic and high standards. She is currently pursuing the creation of two non-profits that will benefit our community,

and when she prays, it's always to ask for wisdom in going forward with her plans and initiatives. When you ask her what her hobbies are, she replies, " Saving Money!" She is passionate about helping people learn about opportunities to make and save money, because she feels strongly that each and every person deserves a chance to build financial security.

Michelle loves Lavender Hills Spa in Calistoga, and vanilla custard, she loves the movies, “Gone with the Wind”, “Tombstone”, and “The Sound of Music”. She also loves attending Renaissance Faires, and the Scottish Highland Games. Her favorite song is “Desperado” by the Eagles, because it reminds her of the piano her father bought her, and she is thankful every day for the strong, successful entrepreneurial example her parents set for her.

Michelle promotes businesses by word of mouth recommendations and referrals. In her professional life, Michelle has been working with Primerica Financial Services for 14 years. She helps people reduce their expenses, increase their income, and budget their money more effectively. She holds a California Life Insurance License, a Health License, A Long Term Care and Variable Annuity appointment with the State of California as well as Series 6, 63, and 26 investment licenses. She also has a Real Estate license.

Her favorite poem is by Robert Frost, “Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference." Her favorite motto is "I did it my way".
